A House in Jobos

As you walk in the front door, you are greeted with a spacious and open living and dining room. The living room has comfortable seating for up to 5 people and if you are a bigger family, there are two extra chairs that can easily be incorporated into the living room. We like to keep it pretty open to accommodate our guests with mobility issues. The 55″ Roku TV is perfect for enjoying some screen time with the family. The walls are decorated with local artwork giving this room a Caribbean vibe.

With seating for up to 8 people (2 chairs are to the side), this Mediterranean-style dining room table is perfect for gathering with your family to enjoy great food and memorable conversations.

Eating out may not always be an option for a large family, so I’ve included as many amenities as possible in our kitchen. Imagine the delicious food you will make here. We have the basics: a gas stove and oven, refrigerator and microwave, but we didn’t stop there. A Magic Bullet blender for your smoothie and a toaster for your morning bagels are provided as well. What goes better with that bagel than coffee? A drip coffee maker, individual K-cup coffee maker, and even a stovetop espresso maker are part of the amenities this kitchen offers. A full set of stainless steel pots and pans, as well as some baking dishes and even oil, salt, sofrito, water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and some snacks, are provided as well. 

Whether you need an accessible room or a room with a full-size desk to work from the Tranquility Bedroom is always the right choice. This large room is perfect for those members of your family who use accessibility equipment like walkers and wheelchairs. The bed is low enough to allow them to easily get into and out of it. In addition, Tranquility features a full-size desk if you need to work remotely, a glider-rocker, a split-unit air conditioner, blackout curtains, a dresser and even books you can borrow during your stay.

The smallest of the three bedrooms, but also the quietest, the Wanderlust bedroom is perfect for those that need silence to sleep well. It has a full-size bed with orthopedic mattresses, two soft and two firm pillows, a dresser, a split-unit air conditioner, and plenty of closet space. All our bedrooms have a luggage rack to make it easier on your back to grab your stuff.

We love the Serenity Room. It has lots of windows where the breeze comes in through. This room does not have an air conditioner and we keep it closed unless your family has more than 4 guests. We do have a ceiling fan to help circulate the air. A full-size bed with four pillows, a desk, a large closet and a seat hammock round out the room. Imagine sitting in the hammock reading a book

Custom cabinetry enhances the beauty of the Italian tiles that line the walls and floor in the bathroom. The shower, with a low rise to prevent the rest of the floor from getting wet, has a shower bar and a shower hose with several settings to choose from. We have a shower chair if you need one as well. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, hand lotion, and mouthwash are a staple in this bathroom. We always leave other items under the washbasin cabinet, such as deodorant, feminine products, etc that you can use as needed. You can’t always carry all these amenities yourself, so we even provide products to remove your makeup. The bathroom is where you will also find the plush bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, and beach towels our guests enjoy.

Whether you are enjoying one of the many board games A House in Jobos provides with your boisterous family and friends, or drinking a cup of coffee with your significant other on a quiet morning, this terrace is the perfect space for all your needs. The double French doors make it easy for wheelchairs to enter the house as well. This is a favorite morning spot for many.

After a long day at the beach, this spot is perfect for relaxing and unwinding alone or with your beloved pet. 

This is a very nice spot for reading a book, listening to music or just relaxing. We are currently adding more plants to our secret garden to make it even larger for more people to enjoy.
